Featuring a high backrest and a low seat, the Soft Pad Chair EA222 by Charles and Ray Eames offers ultimate comfort. Designed with a more luxurious upholstery than the Aluminium Chair, the Soft Pad Chair offers a softer and cosier sitting experience, which can be even further enhanced through a choice of fabric covers. The matching stool EA 223 can be paired with the lounge chair for ultimate relaxation with your feet up.
The shape and structure of the Soft Pad Chair is identical to that of the Aluminium Chair. However, stitched leather upholstery renders it softer and more comfortable and makes for an interesting contrast with its slim aluminium profile. Vitra grants a 30-year guarantee on all chairs of the Soft Pad Group (see certificate of guarantee).
The upholstery on all Soft Pad chairs has been modified and now utilises an innovative viscoelastic foam. This increases the chairs comfort whilst also ensuring the lasting resilience of the upholstery.
