Knoll Barcelona Relax Footstool

Knoll Barcelona Relax Footstool

Manufacturer: Knoll

Designer: Mies van der Rohe

This is an original Knoll piece.

Knollstudio own the sales rights accorded to Knoll by Mies in 1953.

Each piece is stamped with the Knoll studio logo and Mies signature so you are sure to be buying a true licensed piece - not a fake.

This piece is available in more than 500 colours and numerous different grades of leather. The new 2014 comfort version of the Barcelona chair is the result of the study of the Knoll historical archive. The Glass House or Johnson house, built in 1949 in New Canaan, Connecticut, was designed by Philip Johnson as his own residence. The Glass House is furnished primarily with designs by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, manufactured exclusively by Knoll since 1953. The adapted, softer cushions achieve a high level of comfort and a new range of natural aniline leathers (Venezia - 5 colours) has also been introduced and are of superior quality. As they are a natural aniline they are incredibly luxurious but do need to be treated carefully and will patinate over time. The Comfort Barcelona is also available in the existing 5 grades of leather as well.
