Fritz Hansen is releasing a limited production of 150 Egg™ chairs in a never-before-seen edition featuring a combination of rich Forest Green leather with a warm complementing copper tone base. This chair is number 007. A dream chair for any James Bond fan. These special collector’s items mark the closing of Fritz Hansen's 150th anniversary year. Each of the 150 chairs will bear an engraved metal plaque featuring its unique edition number, securing its place as a rare and singular collectable.
Ironically, despite looking like the ideal Bond villain's chair, it has never featured in a Bond film. It has, however, appeared in a myriad of cinematic productions Including: Austin Powers, Zoolander, Ugly Betty, Men in Black, Lucky Number Sleven, and A Space Odyssey. In Zoolander, it is the seat of Jacobin Mugatu, played by Will Ferrell, the hilarious antagonist in the film.
