Twenty years after Tufty-Time changed what a modular sofa could be, Patricia Urquiola has done it again.
The original 2005 design was already a benchmark - deep, enveloping, endlessly reconfigurable. Tufty-Time 20 takes that foundation and rebuilds it from the inside: revised volumes, redesigned padding, a lower seat height, and the addition of a curved module that opens up configurations the original system couldnāt achieve. The result is a sofa that feels more fluid, more generous, and more suited to the way people actually use a living room.
Circularity is built in from the start. Every component is fully disassemblable, designed so that each part can be separated, repaired, or given a second life rather than discarded. It is a rare thing in upholstered furniture - a system that takes its long-term responsibility seriously.
Composition E pairs a TY183BS_3 left terminal element with a TY183BD_3 right terminal element - a compact two-piece configuration with low armrests on both sides, suited to both residential and contract spaces.
